Delete your Tentava account
Use this form to ask Tentava to delete your account. You do not need to sign in or install the app. Submitting a request does not automatically delete an account.
You can also request account deletion in the Tentava app under Profile and Settings.
Verify your account email
How we verify ownership
We email a time-limited verification link to the address you enter. Opening the link does not delete anything. You must then select “Permanently delete my Tentava account”. Only after that confirmation do we compare the verified email and username with current account records. If they do not match, nothing is deleted. Google and Apple sign-ins are supported when the submitted address is the current Tentava account email.
Lost access to your account email? Write to privacy@tentava.app from an email address you can access. Include the old account email and, if known, your Tentava username, and explain the access problem. Support will discuss an alternative way to verify ownership before proceeding. Do not send sensitive documents or credentials.
After deletion is confirmed, access is disabled and deletion from active systems is initiated without undue delay. Once completed, deletion cannot be undone. We respond to privacy requests within the statutory time limits.
Cancel subscriptions separately
Deleting a Tentava account does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google Play subscription. Charges can continue. Cancel through the store account used for the purchase before deleting your Tentava account.
What is deleted
Deletion covers your Tentava profile and sign-in credentials, workouts and planned workouts, goals and statistics, custom exercises, imported activities, photos and videos, AI insights, friendships and requests, coach connections, preferences, push tokens, directory entry, and connected fitness-service credentials held by Tentava.
What may remain and for how long
The privacy policy describes these limited retention exceptions. These periods are not a waiting period before we start deleting your account.
- Chat messages in another person’s conversation can remain until that person deletes the chat, with your name replaced by “Deleted user”. Your uploaded chat media is removed.
- Subscription and invoicing records: 10 years to meet the statutory retention obligation under Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations.
- Reports and moderation decisions: 12 months after closure, or up to 24 months for repeat abuse, disputes, legal claims or authority requests. Copied evidence is normally retained for 180 days; longer only where an ongoing case, safety need, legal claim or authority request requires it.
- Deletion record without a personal reference: 24 months to demonstrate that deletion took place.
- Provider recovery copies: removed or overwritten under the provider's backup cycle, normally no later than 180 days, unless law or a security incident requires longer isolation. KITAV Vuong does not retain a separate recoverable account backup for its own purposes.
- Support correspondence: 24 months. Unconfirmed web deletion requests expire after 24 hours. Completed or unmatched web requests are removed within 7 days after processing; their email and username are removed earlier when no longer needed. Pending deletion jobs retain the minimum details needed to finish cleanup. Security logs and events: 30 to 90 days. Consent-based analytics: 14 months. OpenAI API abuse-monitoring logs: up to 30 days under standard API controls.
- Offline device copies cannot be erased immediately by server deletion. Apple Watch copies can remain until replaced or removed, or until you delete the app and its data. Separate Apple Health records and data in connected providers' own accounts must be managed with those services.
